Go Yellow for Shine at ATC

In the office, the ATC team took part in various activities to help raise awareness for shine charity. The team arrived at the office dressed in Yellow. Each member of staff brought some food to share, all the food had to be Yellow. It ranged from cakes to pineapples, all of which was delicious! The team then ventured into Witton Park for a ‘Sunshine’ lunchtime walk, thankfully the weather was on their side. The team was then treated to an ice cream. Finally back in the office, everyone took part in a quiz, yes you guessed it, the theme was yellow! It was a fantastic day in the office and most importantly, the team helped to spread the word to help support children and adults with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. We hope they are enjoying a well deserved break. The other schools will break up this Friday for their half term break.

Due to the rise of the Indian variant, surge testing has been in place at local schools within the Blackburn and Darwen area. This is to help reduce the spread of Covid. A reminder to everyone to continue to stay safe and follow the latest government guidelines.

In more positive news, we have successfully appointed following jobs throughout the Trust:

Well done to all the successful candidates, we wish you well in your new roles.

We are also advertising for a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice at Witton Park Academy. If you do know anyone that would like to take advantage of this exciting opportunity, please forward them the following link:

Bowland High will be meeting on Friday with Trustees to present and award the tenders for the 3G pitch. All being well the work to develop the new pitch will start very soon.

The HR department are researching a new sickness and absence software, the software will be more efficient and help to provide long term cost savings.

For everyone who is breaking up for half term next week, we hope you have a fantastic break and look forward to seeing you all in the final Summer term of this academic year.

This week we moved into the next stage of the lockdown easing with up to six people being allowed to meet indoors.

We are delighted that the lease has been signed on the CLC which is currently used as the trust central office and classroom space for Witton Park Academy.

The ICT team have been working on firewalls and the filtering system across the schools. This will give the Trust further improved security keeping staff and students safe online.
