ATC News Update 28.5.2021

The rain continues throughout the month of May. Two of our schools, Roseacre Primary Academy and Thames Primary Academy, have broken up for their first week of their half term holiday. We hope they are enjoying a well deserved break. The other schools will break up this Friday for their half term break.
Due to the rise of the Indian variant, surge testing has been in place at local schools within the Blackburn and Darwen area. This is to help reduce the spread of Covid. A reminder to everyone to continue to stay safe and follow the latest government guidelines.
In more positive news, we have successfully appointed following jobs throughout the Trust:
Deputy Headteacher at Bowland High: Claire George
Teachers at Roseacre Primary Academy: Harry Groves; Francesca Folkes; Lyndsey Shaw; Caroline Blundell
Well done to all the successful candidates, we wish you well in your new roles.
We are also advertising for a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice at Witton Park Academy. If you do know anyone that would like to take advantage of this exciting opportunity, please forward them the following link:
The finance team have been finalising the budgets for the ATC Trust for next year. These will be completed in June.
Bowland High will be meeting on Friday with Trustees to present and award the tenders for the 3G pitch. All being well the work to develop the new pitch will start very soon.
The HR department are researching a new sickness and absence software, the software will be more efficient and help to provide long term cost savings.
For everyone who is breaking up for half term next week, we hope you have a fantastic break and look forward to seeing you all in the final Summer term of this academic year.
